I am going to the Contis on the Pantah, its got the same rims as a standard Laverda and would be my choise. I am now running this.Thats a Bridgestone T30 110x 80 radial front and a Pirelli sports demon non radial 140x 80 rear.Took a while to like the new front, loved the old BT02, series tyres.Found the new T30 a bit vague, but haven't done enough ks to full test it.I would love a 140 x 80 rear radial but nobody makes them.I have been forced to run radial fronts, much less scaloppine, with non radial rears and have had no handing issues.

I was running a BT020 front and then a BT021 and BT022 and loved them. Then they discontinued these fronts and they became a T30. You really shouldn't go bigger than a 130 and thats probably one step to far for a 2.5 rear rim.150 is way to big for the 2.5 rear rim and wont fit the typical 180 deg swingarm. They do fit an RGS are so I hear, bit wider.I loved the grip of that BT92, but you need a bigger rim and it impacts the stands. Other than the new Contis the only Radial Rear that might fit are the BT92 Bridgestone in 140 x 55. Running a Radial on the front with a Bias on the back is apprehensive as it has a tendency to hold you straight up - Don't recommend it. However I did like a Pirelli 120/80 Rayon Radial Phantom on the back with a Michelin 100/90 Bias on the front - The bike handled like a dream - Go Figure? I would go back to BIAS for feeling drift even though they hit harder and do not track as well on the straights as radials. But if track days happen more often for you, you might want to go for a proper sport tire like the Pirelli.I agree Paul at $200 a pop, tires for our Breganzies are not cheap in Canada.Ĭanada's Motorcycle outlet has been good for me - Here are some suggestions:īridgestone Battlax BT-45 Sport Touring BIAS 18" Motorcyccle Tires: For regular road riding, with more mileage between tire changes, I like the BT45s. They're a couple tire generations old, but they were the cat's meow when new, lots of favorable press. I replaced the Pirellis with the BT45s and really liked those tires - warmed up quickly, confidence inspiring, they're great in the wet, and they seem made to last. On the plus side, they also never seemed to wear - at 7,000 miles, I picked up a nail and got rid of both tires (although the mechanic said the tires had so much tread left I should just replace the tube!). They never really seemed to warm up and get sticky, and they were absolute ***** in the cold and rain (I live in the Pac NW for chrissake). I can't speak for the Pirelli Sport Demons, but I got a bad taste w/ the Pirellis that came stock on my T-bird. Maybe Triumph was trying to slow down the steering with that fairly flat profile tire. Like CYNCRZR, I dislike the stock Laser up front.
